Suggestions of authors or books that write love stories with happy feeling endings?

I am looking for a book about a love story that contains it's ups and downs you know real drama, but I would actually like to have a feel good ending. I am writing this because I just read "Dear John" and as much as i loved the book, I was seriously an emotional wreck when it ended the way it did. I do not want to be a blubbering mess. I do like some sadness, but where it is and can be finally overcome to a happy ending. Any suggestions?
