Was I wrong in leaving?

Were you getting paid or was this a favour? I think anyone would have been frustrated enough to leave given your cirstances. If this was a favour, you had every right to tell her what you are willing and not willing to do for her. If this was a paid job, then a job description outlining exactly what duties you would be performing should have been agreed to by the both of you prior to commencement. It all sounded a bit messy to me. I take my hat off to you for helping your friend, but there comes a point when a favour can become intrusive. I feel for your friend also, but she shouldn't place so many demands on you. Good luck.
