What is the name is this MS-DOS game?

Its the old game where you start out at the beginning of the game on an island and you see a bottle with a note in it.. I can't remember much of the game other than there are MANY puzzles and a freaky Willy Wonka wannabe following you around making you do puzzles to save yourself and get off that island.. For some reason, the word QUEST is ringing a bell, but maybe that's just cuz it's said a lot in the game. I have been searching for almost 2 hours and still cannot find the right one even while looking at screenshots.. HELP!?!?!!?
