What should I do about College?

im a senior right now but im not sure what i should do about college. I want to go to BYU or BYUI as a non lds student which means im gonna have to pay more. Right now I don't much money saved and im low income. Should i just go to a community college for one year and save money or should i just apply and see how much aid i would get. Lets say i can get into both schools. Any suggestions are welcome.
